CutCue – How the World sees you.

In the time it takes to read this sentence, over 60,000 online videos will have been watched by viewers from more than 200 different cultures.  This explosion in online consumption is both an enormous opportunity AND an enormous risk for advertisers and marketers around the world.

Most ads today are produced to appeal to the marketers ‘home’ culture. In today’s highly interconnected world that can be risky because a message that works well in one culture may be frowned upon in another. Singapore-based startup CutCue helps marketers and advertisers recognise the potential risks, making recommendations to help improve the advertisements impact. Using CutCue, advertisers and marketers can tap into the cultural impact of advertising and promotions in hours instead of weeks.

Red Bean Republic was engaged by CutCue to design, build, market and launch the service. Red Bean handled all aspects of the campaign, including the development of a real-time video analysis system, a complex knowledge base of cultural insights, rule-based algorithms, integrated real-time crowdsourced research and eCommerce payment gateways.

Red Bean Republic planned and executed an international launch, which included coordinating a short-burst US PR campaign with targeted email blast to US marketers in sync with a Google search and display campaign, Facebook, and Linkedin advertising.
